Storage Tank
A Storage Tank is a tank used for storing and dispensing. Storage tanks are typically cylindrical with a flat base and come in various sizes, ranging from small tanks with a diameter of 1 meter to large tanks, depending on the customer's needs. The materials used can be either steel or stainless steel, and customers can choose the option to coat the tank with epoxy or FRP to make it resistant to acids or alkalis contained within. If the tank needs to store liquids with high heat or needs to retain cold, the outside of the tank can also be insulated.
Storage Tank consists:
- Inlet: Pipe for water intake
- Outlet: Pipe for water output
- Overflow: Overflow pipe
- Manhole: Used in large tanks as an entry point for inspection or cleaning. The manhole size is typically 550mm for tanks taller than 2000mm.
- Handhole: For smaller tanks, this is an access point where the user can insert a hand to collect samples or inspect the tank. The size is about 450mm or depends on the tank's size.
- Airvent or Exhaust: Allows ventilation and helps to reduce tank pressure.
Additional options include:
- Level Gauge: Water level indicator
- Ladder and Handrai: For users to access and walk around the top of the tank.
- Spare Nozzle: Reserved for adding chemicals or testing temperature. If unused, it can be sealed with a blind flange.
- Sample Nozzle: Used to collect liquid samples from the tank, functioning like a regular faucet with a valve for opening and closing.
